At Area Temps, our account representatives and recruiters are the life blood of our company. They work diligently to provide employees with new job opportunities and customers with unparalleled service, and we wouldn’t be in business today without their efforts. To recognize their importance and to reward them for their success, our staff members compete to win various awards each business period.
We were excited to announce this year’s winners at our 2013 Year-End Celebration and we would like to share their accomplishments with you.
Top Performance of the Year
Our top performer for 2013 was Kim DeGroff, general manager of our Parma office. Kim, a 22-year veteran of Area Temps and repeat winner of this award, is one of our most dynamic employees. She has a way of building a rapport with her clients that translates to a lasting loyalty. Her ability to provide top-notch service to her existing customers, coupled with her ability to build new business relationships in 2013, won her first place.

The Achievement Club
Being a member of our elite Achievement Club is the highest honor awarded to our staff members. Those who were named to this level in 2013 earned a 5 day/4 night trip to St. Thomas, with a stay at the luxurious Marriott Frenchman’s Reef Resort, plus 3 bonus vacation days.

Team Trifecta
Our Team Trifecta award goes to the office that earns the most points for meeting customer service-oriented objectives, such as receiving positive customer and employee reviews, making new placements, and developing new accounts. The winning office in 2013 was Parma and the employees at that office split a cash bonus.
Great job Parma! Your office had a very successful second half of 2013.
Certification Bonus
Our account representatives and recruiters earn their professional certification by meeting certain industry standards. Once certified, Area Temps awards cash bonuses to those achieving new levels of professionalism. The recipients of a certification bonus in 2013 were Lonni Hendershott, account representative in our Mayfield office, Stephanie Sfekas, the location manager of our Mayfield office, and April Derenburger, a recruiter from our Parma office.
