Giving Thanks on Thanksgiving

Give Thanks-Area TempsSometimes, it’s easy to overlook the true meaning of Thanksgiving, especially with the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, Black Friday shopping, endless football games, and the overabundance of food.  We tend to become involved in the moment, and forget to take the time to reflect on what we have to be thankful for.

At Area Temps, we would like to take a moment to give thanks for all of those who have made a positive impact on our company, helping us build a successful business for almost 27 years.  First, we would like to thank our clients, who have given us the opportunity to prove our worth to them.  Second, we would like to thank our temporary employees who represent us so well, helping us to cultivate long-lasting relationships with our customers.  Third, we would like to thank our internal staff, who are devoted to their jobs and who believe in our company.  They go above-and-beyond, and it is their efforts that have built our reputation as a service that cares.  Finally, we would like to thank our families, who provide us with the emotional support needed to maintain a happy work-life balance.

In closing, we have included some popular Thanksgiving quotes.  Which one is your favorite?  Feel free to comment with one of your own.  Have a great Thanksgiving and don’t forget to say thanks to the people who have made a difference in your life!

“My restaurants are never opened on Thanksgiving; I want my staff to spend time with their family if they can.  My feeling is, if I can’t figure out how to make money the rest of the year so that my workers can enjoy the holidays, then I don’t deserve to be an owner.” – Michael Symon

“If a fellow isn’t thankful for what he’s got, he isn’t likely to be thankful for what he’s going to get.”  Frank A. Clark

“Pride slays thanksgiving, but a humble mind is the soil out of which thanks naturally grow.  A proud man is seldom a grateful man, for he never thinks he gets as much as he deserves.” – Henry Ward Beecher
