Notice to Employees Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Coronavirus As a valued member of the Area Temps’ team, your health and well-being are important to us.  Since Area Temps provides employees to many essential businesses in Ohio, we will remain open during the mandatory shutdown and we ask all employees to follow the U.S. CDC recommendations.   There are practical, commonsense ways for you to take care of yourself, protect others, and monitor latest developments.

Based on guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Area Temps recommends that employees:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Avoid touching their eyes, nose and mouth
  • Stay home when they are sick
  • Cover their cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe
  • Wear a face mask as directed by State of Ohio mandates for the company they are assigned
  • Wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing their nose, coughing or sneezing (if soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol).

During this unprecedented situation, pursuant to CDC guidelines, it is our policy to confirm that temporary workers going on assignment are not experiencing any symptoms of respiratory illness, have not been in close contact with anyone who has been exposed to a confirmed case of the COVID-19 virus, and have not traveled abroad to any Level 3 countries.

Our recruiters will also be requesting information on our clients’ COVID-19 policy as well, to confirm that our employees will be working in a safe, sanitary work environment.  Report to us any concerns you might have and, should you exhibit symptoms of COVID-19, see your medical professional immediately.

Employees who have questions regarding this information, Area Temps’ leave policies, or any other issue, should speak with their placement coordinator.

To learn more about the novel coronavirus and keep up with the latest developments, see the About Coronavirus Disease 2019 and CDC’s Frequently Asked Questions and Answers webpages.  For information about handwashing, see CDC’s Handwashing webpage.

We have several essential business clients looking for immediate help during this time. If you are currently seeking employment and would like to know more about these or other openings, please check out our job board to apply for these opportunities.
