Area Temps embraced the spirit of giving by participating in the Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s “Give a Hunger-Free Holiday” campaign this year. Throughout November, we collected food and monetary donations to provide families with the support they need for a brighter holiday season. After seeing the incredible response, our team wanted to do even more, so we finished the month by volunteering at the Food Bank to help prepare and distribute meals.
What We Achieved
The generosity and dedication of everyone involved turned November into a month of meaningful action. From collecting donations to volunteering in person, here’s what we accomplished together:
- 24 volunteers contributed a total of 52 hours of their time.
- We raised $125.
- We donated 581 pounds of food.
The numbers show what we accomplished together, but the real impact came when we stepped into the Food Bank and saw the difference firsthand. Volunteering gave us the chance to see their mission in action.
On November 10, our team helped at the Healthy Choice Food Market, serving families and supporting community programs. Then, on November 20 and 21, we rolled up our sleeves in the kitchen, cleaning and sanitizing, packaging food, and preparing meals for delivery.
Hunger doesn’t take a holiday, and neither does the need for community support. By volunteering and contributing food and money, we help provide meals to thousands of families who might otherwise go without. These efforts remind us that even small actions can make a big difference in someone’s life.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, or helped spread the word. Your efforts made a real difference for families in need this holiday season. At Area Temps, giving back is part of who we are, and we’re excited to continue our efforts. In 2026, we plan to volunteer with more organizations like the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, because together, we can make an even bigger impact.
While we look forward to future volunteering opportunities, the need for food assistance is ongoing. If you’re interested in helping, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank welcomes donations and volunteers year-round. By visiting their website, you can sign up to be a volunteer or donate a monetary gift.
Thanks to your support, this holiday season proved how much we can accomplish together. Let’s continue making a difference in the new year and beyond.
