Pencils, notebooks, and scissors filled the shelves as Area Temps employees volunteered with Shoes and Clothes for Kids (SC4K) during this year’s Stuff the Bus campaign. On July 24, our team spent the day sorting donations and stocking school supplies to help Cleveland students start the school year prepared and ready to learn.
Teamwork Beyond the Office
As donations continued to arrive throughout the day, our team worked together to help prepare supplies for the weeks ahead. The steady flow of contributions throughout the day reinforced the importance of programs like Stuff the Bus for local students and families.
Participating in the event provided an opportunity to step away from our usual routines and contribute in a different way. Working alongside one another in a hands-on environment made the experience especially rewarding and reinforced the value of community involvement.
A Busload of Support
This year’s Stuff the Bus campaign generated enough donated school supplies to fill 12 buses. In addition, monetary donations totaled the equivalent of eight more buses, bringing the event’s overall contribution to 20 busloads of school supplies.
Although this year’s Stuff the Bus event has ended, there are still ways to contribute. Monetary donations can be made directly to SC4K, and school supplies can be purchased through their Amazon Wishlist. Every contribution helps provide students with the supplies needed for a successful school year.
