The holiday season is a time for warmth, generosity, and coming together as a community. This year, Area Temps is participating in the Hunger-Free Holiday Drive to support the Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s mission to help local families enjoy a warm meal this season. With your help, we can make sure more tables are full, and more hearts are lifted.
What’s the Hunger-Free Holiday Drive?
The Hunger-Free Holiday Drive is a seasonal initiative organized by the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to provide holiday meals to families in need. Area Temps is helping by collecting shelf-stable food items until November 19, making it possible for more families to enjoy a warm and traditional Thanksgiving experience.
How You Can Help
You can drop off food donations at any of our five Area Temps locations. If you’re unable to make it in, reach out to your account representative. We’ll gladly pick up your donation and deliver it on your behalf. Whether it’s a single item or a full box, your support will go a long way in helping families enjoy a holiday meal.
If you’d prefer to make a monetary contribution instead, you can make a donation online. Your gift will go directly to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
Suggested Thanksgiving Donations
We’re looking for festive, shelf-stable foods that help families enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Some great options include:
- Gravy or gravy mixes
- Instant potatoes or canned yams
- Canned fruits or vegetables
- Whole grain rice or mac & cheese
- Biscuit/pie crust mixes
- Cranberry sauce
- Soup or stuffing mixes
- Pie filling
High-Demand Donations
We encourage seasonal items, but we’re accepting all non-perishable food donations. If you’re looking for alternatives, these items are always appreciated:
- Peanut butter
- Canned or boxed entrees
- Pasta sauce
- 100% juice
- Cereal (hot or cold)
- Whole grain pasta
Please donate only unopened items that include a nutritional label and are within their expiration dates. These guidelines ensure we safely distribute and use every donation.
There’s no wrong way to help. You can bring in canned goods, make a donation online, or share this message with others. You’re part of something bigger, and together we can help families across Northeast Ohio enjoy a hunger-free holiday.
